Single-Seal Expansion Joints are available in different versions for constructive systems exposed to traffic. In all types of constructive systems there is clear distinction between the two main functions "inflexible anchoring" and "watertight connection“. This allows for best possible adjustment of the two components sealing profile and edge construction to the conditions of the traffic road.

STRIP PROFILE-EXPANSION JOINTS
The watertight clamp mechanism without screwing or lose clamp strips which lasts for decades is the great strength of the MAURER Strip Profile-Expansion Joints. This kind of construction enables a simple change of sealing profiles without destruction. A gap-reducing cap profile for pavements is available from MAURER.
XL1-EXPANSION JOINTS
MAURER XL1-Expansion Joints for road bridges with MAURER strip profile and wavy covering are designed for a maximum expansion of 100 millimeters. They guarantee road safety, noise protection and longevity. MAURER XL1-Expansion Joints are watertight, snow-plow resistant and free of maintenance. Maintenance operation below the Expansion Joint is not necessary.
XW1-EXPANSION JOINTS
The MAURER XW1-Expansion Joints is based on the proven MAURER Single-Seal Expansion Joint. The permitted range of expansion was increased to 95 millimeters (between 5 and 100 millimeters) - while for conventional single strip seal gap opening is restricted to 80 millimeters. The new geometry also allows for considerable reductions in noise emissions, particularly regarding the tyre noise of vehicles.
